William R. Lizarraga is a member in good standing of the New York Bar Association, the U.S. Southern District Court of New York, and the U.S. Eastern District Court of New York since 2008.

With a strong academic background, William R. Lizarraga earned a PhD in International and Comparative Law with Honors from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2024. He also holds a Master's Degree in Tax Law from the University of Florida (2005) and another Master's Degree in International and Comparative Law from the University of Iowa (2004). Both of his master's degrees were achieved through merit scholarships.

His legal journey began with a Law Degree from the University of Saint Agustine in Arequipa, Peru, where he graduated with Honors in 2000.

Mr. Lizarraga's academic achievements include a doctoral dissertation titled "Rethinking the Precontractual Liability: "Culpa in Contrahendo, Promissory Estoppel and Misrepresentation as Juridical Pillars," which received honors distinction (2024). He graduated with High Honors from the University of Saint Augustine (Peru, 2000) with a thesis on "The Super-Erogatoriedad of the Causa of the Juridical Act in the Civil Law," which was published by the Bar Association in tribute to his academic excellence.

In addition to practicing law in New York, William R. Lizarraga is a Notary Public and a Licensed Real Estate Broker. He is also an attorney in good standing with the Peruvian Bar Association since 2000.

William R. Lizarraga has served as a legal consultant for numerous law firms across the United States, advocating for creditors such as lenders and servicers, as well as representing condominium associations and debtors in foreclosure proceedings. With experience on both sides of the fence, William R. Lizarraga possesses a comprehensive understanding of the foreclosure process and the real estate industry.

Furthermore, William R. Lizarraga has contributed to law firms specializing in personal injury cases, assisting accident victims in securing equitable compensation for their injuries. His expertise extends to various legal areas, including bankruptcies, commercial litigation, income tax disputes, immigration law, and family law matters.

In Peru, William R. Lizarraga is also a licensed Conciliator accredited by the Peruvian Department of Justice for Extrajudicial Conciliation. He has authored four books: "The Fourth Side of the Triangle: The Problem of the Causa in the Civil Law" (2000), "Tax Sparing Credits in the Free Trade Area of the Americas" (2006), "The Tyranny of the Law" (1996), "The Success and You" (1993). Mr. Lizarraga has also written many articles in many Law Journals.

William R. Lizarraga achieved academic excellence throughout his education, graduating from High School with High Honors and securing the First Position in the ranking. He further distinguished himself by achieving the highest LSAT score in Law School, where he graduated with Honors and held the top position in the ranking.

Before embarking on his legal career, William R. Lizarraga acquired significant experience in Peru, where he served as a law clerk to multiple judges. Additionally, he devoted three years to teaching English. During this time, his dedication earned him a scholarship to attend Camp Rising Sun in upstate New York, a community known for nurturing talented leaders. His influential voice was heard at various forums, including the Voice of America and the World Bank in Washington, DC.

Mr. Lizarraga cherishes his family life, sharing his home with his wife and their two sons, William Robert and Vincent Dariel. Two beloved beagles, Watson and Summer, complete their lively household.
